Kaikohe ITM Speedway Newsletter - September 2005.

Well time has sure flown and we are now nearly racing again. Yes our first practice meet is on the 25th Sept, yes only a week away. Have you got all your cars ready or nearly ready. I know my lot are still working on theirs. Also the Northland Champs are nearly upon us. Those of you who are going in, are you all ready. The first race for that is on December 3rd in Dargaville.

Race Calendar: There are a few minor changes so please note on your calendar.

October 9th 2005 - This is Bathhurst so we will be bringing a TV to the track for those avid followers.

October 23rd 2005 - This is Labour Weekend so therefore will be a fun day as some of you might be going away.

WORKING BEE - Please don’t let this word scare you away. We have had some busy people getting the track ready for our racing so it is time you came along and did your bit. The track and its surrounds is all of ours responsibility. How would you like it if you came along to race and the track wasn’t ready, pretty peeved I bet. There will be people there putting in the remainder of the concrete walls and redoing the track and there fore we need your help to give the place a general tidy up before racing begins so please bring along lawn mowers, weed eaters, spades, hammers and anything else you can think of.

THE WORKING BEE IS ON OCTOBER 1ST 2005 so unless you have a major reason why you can’t be there we want to know. I will be ringing and reminding you the night before or you can ring me on 4019414 or Wendy on 4040865. Start time is 10 a.m.

Race Timetable in case you have forgotton.

Scrutineering is from 10 am til 12 noon. Remember if you are late for

Drivers Brief is at 12.30. Scrutinizing you will have to wait

Wheel Pack is at 12.45 for when the scrutineer has time as

Racing begins at 1 pm. Yay. They race too.

We have joined the Circle Track Racing Association and there fore you will be issued with log books and licences when you pay your fees. Remember you must pay your fees before you will be allowed out on the track, and there will be no drip feeding. The fees are $50.00 per driver. When you pay you will be given a membership card for driver only free entry at the gate.

Well I think that is all the major news that has to be reported and I believe there are a few new cars nearly ready so some people have been hard at work. We look forward to seeing you at the track on the 25th September.

Yours in Racing,
